In the early morning hours on 18th July, our City Council forcibly evicted Aboriginal people from their traditional grounds at Musgrave Park, West End, Brisbane. More than thirty people were taken to the watch-house where they were detained until the afternoon on Thursday. Later in the morning a protest was organised outside Parliament House, where the new Government was holding its first sitting. Later people from the Protest marched to the watch-house where they waited for the release of the prisoners. The images in this gallery were taken at the protests, and during the march.
