Marble Mountain Wilderness

The current PCT was built across this granite face in 1974 from Shelly Mdws to Kidder Lake trail. Before then, hikers hiked cross country across the face to reach the Salmon river trails near Shelly Meadows.

You know ,Stuff you do is adventure,,, WHile I still love the PCT,, the adventure aspect of it is mostly gone and it is becoming " Ho Hum Mainstream ".. Your cross country route hiking traverses,etc. are " Live On The Edge " Even the CDT these days is so wired that it's hard to fall off,,, Enjoy your adventures,,
