Mike - I would like to use some of your photos of Piedmont Park in a YouTube Music video - track entitled "Piedmont Park". The video would reference your name as the photographer etc. Not for profit - although the video could indirectly lead to profit if people like my music. Would you be open to this and if so, what would be your terms/requirements? Thanks. Mike Murray www.mikemurraymusic.com.

Really great pics of your little Layne. I'm researching the Canon EF 50mm 1.4 USM lens, to go with the Canon EOS 60D I am about to buy. Just had my first child 3 months ago, and found your pics a real inspiration of a similar thing I want to do.

Hi,
I'm placing a puzzle geocache in Sandy Springs that's focusing on the King & Queen bldgs, and I'd like permission to use your image noted below as the background image for the page. I would of course attribute it to you and have a link to your galleries.
Thanks!

My copy was not the VC version of this lens, and I found that at the longer telephoto lengths and at F/6.3, I had a low “keeper rate” due to camera shake. So I upgraded to the Sigma 18-200 OS version as my lightweight walk around lens. I initially ordered the Tamron 28-300 VC at the time it was originally expected to ship (late summer 2007), but then Tamron pushed the release date due to technical problems, so I cancelled the order and ordered the Sigma 18-200 OS instead. The Tamron would have worked on my 5D, and the Sigma only works on my 30D, but since I mainly use it as a casual walk around lens, I decided that was okay. I am generally satisfied with the Sigma. I can’t compare it to the current versions of the Tamron 10x zooms since my Tamron was a circa 2002 model, but I can say that the 18mm on the wide end makes the Sigma a better choice for a 1.6x APS-C DSLR like the 30D. I would have preferred the Tamron 28-300 VC on my 5D, but I needed (wanted) a lightweight, image stabilized walk around lens for a couple of trips I had coming up at the time, and decided I couldn’t wait for the Tamron to be released.

Some great shots. Why did you sell your tamron 28-300? I just got one and I am finding I need to use the manual focus for great distance shots. Thought about the sigma 18-200 but not sure.
