Continuing east along the base of the cliff

Near Delicate Arch Viewpoint (Arches National Park)

After taking the previous pictures on the ridge, I descended to the narrow stream canyon between
the ridge and the cliff. The walking was easy here, except that avoiding the cryptobiotic soil
was an ever-present necessity. A different type of obstruction lay just ahead (next photo).
