At bottom left (purple sandstone) is the end of the trail. From there one steps over the
bench into a bowl. At sunset and sunrise photographers gather on the bench to shoot the
arch in the dramatic lighting. The people here have just been to the arch and are preparing
to leave. The man at left is observing the scenery; if he were to take three steps, he'd
be history (canyon). The arch is out of view to the right (next photo).
