South Seattle Yard

Near BNSF's South Seattle Yard view map

The graininess of the photo is regrettable, but this is the most I could salvage from a dreadfully underexposed image. It was taken from a concrete bridge (Boeing Access Road) that vibrated with every passing of a heavy vehicle.

A daytime view---taken before a light rail bridge was constructed in the foreground---appears in another photo.

UPDATE: this view will soon be obstructed by an elevated light rail line running from downtown Seattle to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Sound Transit's airport line will run from left to right about 100 feet beyond the bridge (Boeing Access Road) from which this shot was taken.

Actually, I love the underexposed lighting and the mood it creates. I really like this photo!
