Tent and Joe Tripod

The Goose Neck (near Moab, Utah)

In this humble abode I spent a restful night. At right is Joe Tripod, my personal
assistant. He doesn't like to be in pictures because he thinks he looks too stiff.
About 100 feet (30m) behind the tent is an "interesting" change of terrain: a cliff
and talus slope leading to the Colorado River, about 400 feet (130m) below.

The ground did not slope this much; I didn't hold the camera level.

I think he saw this and was too scared to speak.

I'm not sure, Lee: he didn't say a word---he just stood there.

Joe seems to enjoy his moment in the spotlight! Soon Tripod Joe will want to be in all your pics, then what? ? chaos and mutiny on the high desert!!
