Your photographer soaking up the view

City of Rocks National Reserve (near Almo, Idaho) view map

Looking northwest from the summit of Peak 7088. The granite "peaks" above and to the right of my hat are the Twin Sisters. Pinnacle Pass, a feature on the California Trail, is hidden by the rocks I'm sitting on.

When I took this picture---with Joe Tripod's help, of course---this summit was the highest point on the ground ever attained by Joe. Since then he has traveled as high as 10,500 feet (at the top of a chairlift at Alta, Utah).

This would look good framed. Very pretty country.
