In Kent the Green River Trail splits at the west end of the Byron G. Sneva Bridge (timber bridge visible from South 180th Street). The main trail crosses the bridge and the stub branch remains on the west side of the river, ending here. This photo was taken in August 2013. The street is the West Valley Highway, a very busy high-speed artery, not the kind of road for casual right turns onto a small gravel parking lot.
The scene looks different now because the levee on which the trail runs, was re-built in early 2016.
Photographed during an examination of trail access points.
