The Green Weenie sits less than a mile inside Colorado on the former US 6, northwest of Grand Junction. This was the main highway before the completion of Interstate 70. I stopped here to examine a long-abandoned railroad grade. This is about half a mile east of the Utah-Colorado border.
It was not a busy road: since getting off the interstate at the Harley Dome exit in Utah (Exit 227), I encountered only three other vehicles.
