I am Trippe Shell in Valdosta GA. According to my records NT and my grandfather Louis Donald Shell were about same age, both born in Dooly County GA and went to Miami at same time. NT's dad was William Nelson Shell. NT's children were Rubert, Vera, William, Thelma and Doris if that is right. My granddads kids were Charles and Louis Donald Shell (same name has grandpa). My dad Charles (Charlie) was at Shell Lumber when I was born (so says my birth certificate!). I would love to know how they all ended up in Miami!

Hello, my name is Clarice and my mother's is Doris Shell. For years she has told me about her grandfathers store, where she would want to drink colored water from the segregated water fountains at Shell's that she grew up around in Miami as a child. Shes never been able to recall too many other details as she suffers from dementia but the other day she mangaged to stumble across an old newspaper clipping about when the store was eventually torn down. It sparked new interest in me so I did a quick search online with N.T. Shell superstore and it brought me to this post where I saw your comment that he was your grandfather. Aside from my mother's two brothers John and Ted whom im told now are deceased I never thought there was the possibility of haveing another living relative from her side of the family. Any info you have about the Shell family I would love to hear!
