First day of a four day photo shoot I took myself on over my birthday weekend. Thursday I had a nice 350 mile drive to Bishop . My friend drove up that night and we were up at o dark hour friday morning .Seeing he know the area we heard out of town for the mtn's.Seeing it was dark on drive up 8.500 ft, it was a surprise when it got light to find the Aspen tree had alrealy drop all there leaves.So we had to go to lower altitude to find color.
For the afternoon shoot we took in the history of the Laws railroad and fell back in time remembering times past. http://lawsmuseum.org/
And to end a great day of playing with our lens we took in the Bishop Petroglyph Loop.

Most be nice living here and listening the the water fall.	Aspen leave's
Using John's lens for nice close-up		Deer going into woods. I was to slow with the camera .	If I only was a little faster,as this is taken from John's car .
Last shot with 400 mm lens	Reflection going on here !!!!!	This area was poplar with fisherman and photographer .

Looks like you and I enjoy the same places. I was there at the end of September and again for Thanksgiving. Nice gallery, you've got some great shots, and a good variety!

Nice but ... Who's the old "GRRRR"guy with the train? :<) I expect a home made calender this year with your very own California photos for Christmas!... The pictures are so beautiful I bet you could sell them! Your fall "colors" still don't match my backyard in Wisconsin as we have a bigger range of orange and reds.... but we only have Rib Mountain:<) Keep up the fun work! Bets

Hey Lion: You outdid yourself again with some very A+ pictures. Love the Aspen shots, reminds me of a trip we took to Denver for a football game. We drove up to the Rocky Mountain State Park and on the way up it looked just like your pictures. Have a great holiday season. Peter C.

The tree looks to be 3 to 5 years old depending on the altitude. Great shots Lion. Were you really born in 1962? I thought you were only 20 years younger than me.
