Your photos are delightful! I just stumbled across them on pbase and have been browsing through them for the last hour or so. I spent time last weekend at the new WWII Memorial in Washington, DC, and part of the celebration was a "GI's Canteen", complete with Benny Goodman (-like) band and lots of dancing. That included both young and old (i.e., WWII vets) doing the Lindy and jitterbug. Unfortunately, neither my dancing or my photos are nearly as good as yours. (I guess I'm sort of a "tweener" -- actually a boomer -- my dad served in WWII (and was a pretty good jitterbugger), and my son is about the age of the folks in most of your photos.) I'll have to look around now and see if there are some similar groups (other than my normal swing groupies) who specialize in lindy and jitterbug. Thanks for some wonderful photos. dds
