I know there are few, if any, people in the world who are perfect – probably, in retrospect, none. However, I do believe that most of us have a basic level of morality and decency and that if we see injustice being done we’ll try to prevent that from happening – a small example of this is when David and I saw a ‘hit and run’ a few weeks ago – not on a person but on a parked car. We memorised the number of the offending car and left a note on the windshield of the car that’d been hit.
Mostly too, if I feel as though I’ve stepped over a boundary that I shouldn’t have stepped across then I like to think I’ll admit my failings and try to rectify them. There are odd occasions when stubbornness steps in but I try to be ‘good’ when I can.
What I hate is people who make a really bad decision, shout long and loud about it then refuse to back down when they’re shown to be doing something immoral and quite probably illegal too. No matter how much their decision is proven to be flawed and its failings exposed, the person stands firm with their obscene judgement and the rest of the world, however many people and however badly affected can effectively ‘go hang’ as far as they are concerned.
So here is my message to you – a white feather ‘v’ sign – and in this instance, please read the other ‘v’ sign, not the victory one. You’re cowards and sooner or later your greed and malice will come and bite you on the bum…….I hope!
hey - looking at this, I'm beginning to see a bit of 'Linda Spirit' coming back.....and I hope you see it too.
MMmmmmm I was just cracking open a bottle of Rioja last year - surely one of life's pleasures!
