Aaaaaahhhhhhhh – poor old girl. There are few sadder sights than an ancient car in a field. We do see quite a few round here and although I live in hope of digging up a whole Ford Anglia from our field, I’m sad to say that’s unlikely to happen!
We’ve been out walking with our friends Sarah and Andrew today – yep – WHL Sarah and her husband of ten years and a week. They forgave us for not turning up at their party last week and came to see us here instead.
I’m very glad the weather was kind to them – it’s been a glorious, sunny, warm day here. While we’ve had sunshine over the last two days, it’s barely even been warm, let alone hot. Today has been different.
We walked past this old Moggie Traveller in a field full of donkeys near to our house on the last part of a walk that covered about three miles of our lovely, private landscape – even though it felt like Piccadilly Circus today there were so many people about.
It’s been an exciting day on all fronts - we’ve also got a new washing machine standing in the lobby. I’ve got a ‘scheme’ that instead of bringing it into the kitchen for now, we’ll just plumb it straight in to where it’s going to live long term – in a newly designed utility area in our back lobby.
Last time I had one of these schemes we ended up spending a whole week working on it and making it happen – I hope DM hasn’t remembered that one or I’ll never persuade him to start!
Last year, I was photographing Howard's art - his entry for the local scarecrow competition.
