‘Do you have wi-fi?’ I asked my little sister when I arrived at her home tonight. ‘What’s wi-fi?’ She said. ‘Wireless broadband’ I said. ‘Don’t be ridiculous, why would I have that?’ She said. ‘Just wondered’ I said. ‘You can use my pc’ to check your emails’ she said. So I did and that was that or so I thought.

Then I spoke to DM and when I said ‘I can’t post my pic tonight’ he asked why and I relayed the conversation. He insisted she did have wi-fi and had told him all about it years ago.

Then I got distracted and thought no more about it until now, in bed and thinking ‘I wonder who is right’……..well, I think we now know the answer to that one!!!

So, here is my pic, tonight, posted on my little sister’s wi-fi link.

I’m staying with her, she lives only a couple of miles away from where I’ve been staying for the last two days. Tomorrow, I move on again – I’m thinking of becoming a snail……it’s surely got to be less difficult in the long run.

This photo has nothing to do with my day in any sense of the word, other than being taken a couple of miles further along the canal I’ve been beside for the last two days and also being right next door to Jan’s home.

I didn’t even ‘arrange’ the ‘eye candy’ of the muscle-bound canoeist. In fact, he’s much too macho to be my ‘type’ preferring my men skinny and emancipated as I do.

Did the peg bag help me today? You bet it did – it made me think of home and smile – a commodity as rare as a hen’s tooth in my gloomy ‘living out of a suitcase’ world. I have spent more time in tears today than smiling that’s for sure.

Did my paper go well? I can’t tell. I thought it went OK, then I got lots of very positive feedback, including from a CEO of a client company, who’d been shaking his head all the time I was speaking so I thought I’d really pissed him off for some reason but apparently not. Apparently he was transfixed! Then someone else said ‘too much information’ and I think I’d said anything salacious in the slightest!

Oh and the camera is just about holding up.....thanks for all the offers of help from people.

OK so now I sleep………
