This reminds me of that sublime Crowded House song ‘fingers of love’ for whatever reason.
I’ve been having a ‘bad day’ until this evening – a fit of the gloom brought on because of a number of unrelated ‘events’ though tonight, with an invite into ‘next doors’ for cheese, biscuits and wine, it’s lifted somewhat.
In a fifteen minute trip to the studio, armed with a handful of bluebells and a bit of acer, this is one of a number of very pleasing shots, most of which are destined for ‘better places’ than this.
We’ve got three acers in the garden, two of which I planted and the third is this one, although I’m afraid I don’t know its variety unfortunately.
Fom the first moment I saw the shot, the song leapt into my mind and just won’t go away so here it is – fingers of love……
I am pleased to report that for once, I got something I longed for and found it to be every bit as good as I'd hoped! A year ago today, I was longing for something I finally managed to afford to buy three weeks ago and it's quite simply the most thrilling thing I now own.
