I have been working so hard of late, both on stuff for my own projects and on my day job that my feet have barely touched the ground – I reckon by the end of this week, in my day job, I’ll have worked not far short of double my contracted hours and 30% more than a full-timer would officially work.
So, it’s time to come into the house from the freezing cold of my office, make a hot cup of tea and put my feet up for tonight – tomorrow I fight another day. We really have to sort ourselves out a better heating solution than a single oil-filled radiator, which is what we’ve got in our office at the moment, so I have come back to the house chilled to the core.
I’m getting some R&R tonight, safe in the knowledge that I posted off a letter yesterday which completed my ‘big project’ that I’d set myself for January photography-wise and today, I have finally found someone who I think can sort out my ‘home project’ for January – sorting out my veggie patch and making it rabbit proof. (Well, as much as a veggie patch can be rabbit proof – if Mr McGregor couldn’t achieve it, I doubt I will but I need to try!). I have my fingers and toes crossed that he’ll actually show up when he says he will.
Tomorrow, we come a step closer to completion of the bathroom (again as long as the man who’s coming to do it shows up). That just leaves some painting and the new flooring and it’s finished – tick those boxes!
That’s what we promised ourselves – consolidation of what we’ve started. I reckon I’ve earned my tea-break today.
A bog brush was my pic of last year!
