I was so pleased with my low-fi pear last night, lit by candle and I got to thinking ‘what if…..’ so here is the result of the ‘what if…..I put the candles either side and far back so you just get the sexy curves and everything else in darkness?’

And do you know what?

I like this a lot too.

I’m thinking hard about lighting of my subjects because that’s what I’m told (and I agree with) is one of my photographic weaknesses. So, here is a thought through shot where the lighting is the main bit of the shot – the pear doesn’t look up to much in the cold light of day!

Several folks said to me last night that they liked being able to say ‘that’s a nice pear’ to a girl and, so as not to make anyone feel deprived of that opportunity again, here’s a pair to yesterday’s pear!

In case you’re wondering – they’re not ripe yet so that’s why they’re still providing me with photographic pleasure.

Tomorrow I think I may move on!
