I wasn’t going to do any ‘wip’ shots of the bathroom – I was just going to do a ‘grand finale’ when it was done but that’s all gone to pot.

The progress is now feeling painfully slow. The whole house is coated in a thick layer of tile dust and we’re cheesed off. Last night it was wonderful to get the hell out of here and get a, some fresh air and b, some good company.

Today we got the good news that they’d be finished tomorrow and that we’d be able to have a shower in the morning. Wrong on both counts. The shower is trickling not flowing (the pump won’t work) and there is no way in a few light years they’ll be finished tomorrow.

So, instead of a nice wander across the landing tomorrow for my shower, it’s back across the street!

Anyway, the ‘grand finale’ won’t be for some time because we can’t put down flooring until the wiring has been done so that’s why I decided I may as well get this in.

I’m feeling a bit blue again tonight about it all but hopefully by the weekend that’ll all be a dim memory.

BTW – I got a ticking off this morning for ‘kissing and telling’ last night…..so, that’s the end of that one too.

Last year I was having a filthy time - and no, not that sort of filthy!
