3rd December 2005 - news flash: the chosen ones win again!

Tonight, news agencies are reporting another stunning win for the Dog Shit Hill Gang, now audaciously calling themselves ‘the chosen ones’. In a feat that can only be described as a minor miracle, the real ‘chosen one’, England’s No 1 goalkeeper Robbo (Paul Robinson)’s glove once again finds itself in the home of a Dog Shit Hill Gang member in a spooky re-enactment of another similar episode, not three months ago.

On that occasion, DM was the one chosen by the ‘Chosen One’ and it was his hand that soared above the rest of the crowd to snatch the glove in a special victory salute all of his own.

In a magnanimous gesture, (well, prompted by LA who said ‘we don’t need any more stuff, you must give it to Sarah), that glove now resides in a South London suburb and is lovingly fondled on a regular basis by Sarah who would (but don’t tell her husband) like to make babies with the aforementioned Robbo (the Chosen One).

In the post-match analysis (Spurs won 3-2, but it wasn’t the performance we’d expected and we should have slaughtered the bottom side) suite (the inimitable Bell and Hare), the beer was flowing and being passed from gang-member to gang-member with ‘the glove’.

Except this was a new glove. The Chosen One (England’s England’s No 1) had, once again, in a display of superb accuracy, found the hand of our own Madge Junior to throw his glove to on this occasion too. So, the Dog Shit Hill Gang are now in possession of two huge, rubbery hands, with the joint-legends of ‘Robinson’ on one side and ‘Lucy May’ (his little girl) on the other side. Oh and Robbo - next time can we have a left-hander....we're still going to find it difficult to sprint onto the pitch and save the day with two right-hand gloves only!!!

Now special respect is due to the young Madge, who was at a party in the week and spotted Bobby Zamora and Anton Ferdinand. The young Madge marched up to Anton and started having a right old go at him for scoring against us in the dying seconds of the West Ham game to give the Hammers a point a fortnight ago. When Anton tried to respond by saying they deserved it, Madge floored him with a fatal blow - he told him he danced 'like an absolute twat' to which Bobby Zamora nodded his head and agreed with our boy wholeheartedly so it's official - Anton Ferdinand dances 'like an absolute twat'.

So, if before this auspicious event, I’d been thinking this was not a good day in the life of LA (gggrrrr trains), then this has restored my faith!

BTW for anyone interested, that 24 hour window for things to right themselves in my world according to Wednesday’s horrid-scope didn’t bear fruit…..but today’s according to the sub-Mail (but more honest) Mirror says that things will slot into place before Christmas…..well, time is running out for that one too but let’s see if we can’t will it to happen. Am I bonkers for believing this stuff – yep, but it gets me through my tough times.

Last year I was extolling the virtues of online shopping and the year before, I was in a strange place with enormous concrete horses heads in reception - scary indeed!
