I’ve had such a mixed day today it’s hard to know where to begin…..
Three fabulous things have happened and two absolute stinkers. The first fab thing, is that the UK training of my colleagues for our new service is complete – hurrah. It’s such a relief to be finished with another country – shame it’s the UK that’s finished not the rest.
The second is our plastering in Cornwall is finished – hurrah. Our friends and neighbours in Cornwall contacted us today to say it’s safe to go back!!! That’s wonderful because we can now get on with making it liveable – painting and carpeting etc. Cool!
The third is that I designed an ad (my photo and my words with DM’s help with layout etc) for one of our company’s services. It’s been adopted and so OUR ad is going to be published in our industry’s journals for the next few months!!! That’s so exciting.
The downside of my day has been two complete stinks – one a sad accident and the other totally of man (or woman)’s making. The sad accident is a tale that all pet owners and parents will be able to relate to – projectile stuff from the ‘bad end’ of one of the dogs – nasty but a fact of life.
The second stink really stinks. It stinks so bad that I am at a loss for words and I cannot explain why in this forum. I have one simple straightforward message though – no matter how much people try to deodorise stinks of their making, sooner or later the smell of deodorant wears off, all that’s left is the stink and everyone can tell where it came from. It’s that simple in my view. I do truly believe that you reap what you sow and I so hope that the makers of this stink gets to reap the ‘rewards’ of their actions.
Last year, Mike_R popped round and I snapped him and two years ago, I was admiring the peacock feathers in the office....though within a few days it had been deemed they had 'bad karma' and been removed!
