For the first time in 3 1/2 months we are back on Toby's beach and all is well in my world.

This holiday was a last minute idea - we had some time off booked to try to go overseas to New England to see their famous fall colour. There is a town in New Hampshire named Alstead so I thought it'd be great fun to try to see if it had been named by an ancestor of mine. We couldn't go to New England because we hadn't sold David's house at the time and so didn't have the necessary funds so we decided a cheap break in Cornwall was a great idea.

So, here we are at sunset on Toby's beach and loving every moment of it - kicking up the sand, paddling in the edge of the surf and playing with the dogs - heaven.

Toby's spirit ensures that every time we set foot here, the sun shines and we are cosseted in good humour and good living - it doesn't get much better than this....
