This lovely little creature is a moon gazing hare. It's made from cast metal of some kind and is supposed to be a symbol of fertility, not that I'll ever know about whether or not that works.
On my way home from work the beauty and clarity of the moon wowed me - it had got a distinct haze over it by the time I got home though.
The moon, like me, is always causing controversy (as I said, that's not my aim, it just seems to be how things end up) - it's responsible for our tides (of which we can be certain)and it's reputed to be responsible for women's menstrual cycles and lunacy as well as a whole host of other magical things. To the best of my knowledge it's never been proved to do these things and I'm a girl who likes to see the evidence before believing such stuff.
If the stories are to be believed, we all go a little mad when the moon is full, witches fly across the face of it on their broomsticks, women everywhere menstruate and ET flew home on a bicycle in front of it - how I loved ET - my sister persuaded me to go to see it (against my will) but I adored it - when Elliott said 'I love you ET' I burst out in big sobs and disturbed the whole cinema, much to Jan's delight and amazement.
