Who's not fit to wear the shirt?

Now as any regular visitors to my gallery know by now, I'm a die-hard Spurs fan which is always something of a challenge - I spend so much time wearily fending off the 'why don't you support a good team like Man Utd or Arsenal' that it drives me completely bonkers. Especially when we have a string of bad results and this just fuels the problem.

So today's 1-3 scoreline at home against Southampton (who have the added bonus of loving to kick Glenn Hoddle because he left them and took Dean Richards with him) was painful in the extreme.

Not only was the game truly miserable, some charming chap behind me threw a whole bottle of Coke over me, it was in my shoes, my handbag and all over my feet and legs. Nice!

To cap it all, on the train journey home I had the misfortune to sit next to someone calling himself a Spurs fan who was the most unbelievable scumbag bigot I've ever encountered at a football match - and they do have a reputation for bringing the worst out in people. His opening gambit was to tell his mates that he was so pissed off with the scoreline he was going home to 'beat his wife and kid about a bit'. He later went on to say that David Pleat (Spurs Director of Football) was a great man, not in spite of, but because of, his notorious kerb-crawling convictions - he proudly claimed that 'any man who gets his end away with a prozzie is great by me'. What a complete and utter w*nker. Later on the journey his comments included hating foreigners, 'nonces' and 'faggots' and then he regaled his mates with a (not) delightful commentary on how he went to a health club that was a thinly disguised 'nonce' pick-up point and when he realised where he was he dropped his towel with fright. This man was the worst example of human nature I think I've come across in some time.

Is he fit to wear our shirt? No, in my opinion football has no place for people like him. In fact, even though I'm normally completely supportive of the right to free speech, on this occasion I think it would have been much better if he'd kept his trap shut and his vile opinions to himself. We don't want to hear them!
