In case you've not worked it out already, I'm fascinated by weird quirky things, especially when they're shiny!
This lovely inscription is in the pavement on the platform at Dorking Station, where I change trains on my way to work in the mornings. I've been eyeing it up for weeks hoping to get an opportunity to photograph it without:
a. a pillar that holds the roof up casting a big shadow right across the text
b. a hoarde of commuters walking all over it
c. the ticket collector thinking I'm a loony.
Today, perfect conditions for all three - different position of the sun, commuters not around, ticket collector away from his post, so voila!
I'd love to know who put this here, why and how they got the railway to agree to it but I don't suppose I'll ever find out.
