A hot day of toil again, as our Sundays seem to be these days - will we ever be able to flump on the sofa and relax again I wonder?

After being boiled in the loft and then spending hours wiring and tidying, I popped up the garden to get some courgettes for supper and saw this pear looking so inviting and lush that I just had to pop back and get the camera. It's a shame it won't be ready to eat for another couple of months.

The garden is so full of things to eat at the moment we can't keep up with what we're producing and the hens and rabbits are sharing our spoils. It seems like a pretty good trade off to me - we get eggs, pest control and manure to fertilise the soil from them and they get to share our food - just like life should be!
