With David away I need someone to keep me warm at night. So, Big Ted comes to the rescue. He's been my bear since I was only four months old (so a VERY long time) and he's never let me down. He's very threadbare and very tatty, he's got a hole in his left foot where Big Bun bit him once and he smells of dust but I don't care. He's my comfort and he will look after me admirably until David comes home from Le Mans.

He's my little oasis of comfort and joy in my otherwise wrecked home.

Postscript to this pic - After a listless night with very little sleep and not much comfort or joy, I realise there can be no substitute for the real thing. Childhood comforters are not in the same league as the warmth and satisfaction of David and never will be again. It's kind of sad in a way that I know now that I'll never be able to take comfort from my oldest companion again.
