I had a bit of a shitty day today if I’m honest. No – I’m not going into details! To provide some happiness we decided to go out to eat – I have a card that gets me two meals for the price of one in a local restaurant so we went down there, got pizza and chatted about what next.

This is ‘im indoors. He’s choosing a “Brian” – that’s the name of the pizza that none of the restaurants serve but they’ll all make for him with a little persuasion! I'm not sure really why he looks at the menu because he always ends up choosing the same thing. (Me too BTW - my "poison" is a fiorentina!) He thinks it’s hilarious to call it “Brian” but to be honest the joke is wearing a little thin.

Despite earlier disappointments, it was a brilliant evening. We are lucky to still love each other’s company and can still chat our way through an evening without any silences. I consider myself lucky given that a work colleague admitted to me that when she gets a pass out away from the children with her husband, their conversation dries up by about 8.30pm and they have nothing to say to each other.
