This is one of the hinges of the door we bought in a scrappy last year. We brought it home and DM worked hard to reglue it together then it came to a grinding halt. It’s been stood against the wall for months now and looks like it’ll stay there for months more before it gets finished and hung. It’s waiting along with the blown plaster, the painting and decorating, the stripping down of the bannisters and the balustrades and about a million and one more things that we’ve got in the pipeline and can’t get around to doing.

It’s a recently discovered problem. When we had time, we had no money, now we have money, we have no time. Oh the dilemma. It occurs to me that other people manage this juggling act better than we do. I think we need to work on solving this or we’ll never get the grand plan underway. We need to make sure that we don't fall into the trap of treading water while another year goes by.
