It’s Valentine’s day so instead of showing something slushy, I decided to photograph a herd of cows on the move through our village – it is just possible they are looking for love, although I'm fully prepared to accept it's unlikely. They’ve come down off the moor where they were fed a couple of hours ago and now are heading through the village. They are causing chaos in as much as there are 2-3 cars waiting for the whole herd to find their way up the road into the village centre. What will they do then? They lay stop at the pub for a snackette or even the village Post Office – both places are good sources of food. Alternatively, they’ll just mooch on through, stopping for a scratch on a gatepost or munching someone’s shrub in their front garden. One thing is for certain, they won’t be breaking the 30mph speed limit!
