Two of my young trainee teacher friends got their first jobs today – I am so green with envy it’s not true. At the same time I’m also deeply thrilled for both of them. They are my two fellow Biological Sciences graduates and so I’ve known them for longer than the rest of the cohort – one, Ellie, I’ve known for four years now. Both girls are lovely and deserve their success in every way.

Me? I’ve only had time to apply for one job, because I’m completely drowning in my training, and that one I didn’t even get close enough to get an interview for it. I’m so depressed about it that I want to hide under a desk for the rest of my life…

Still, to Lucy and Ellie who’ve clearly got what it takes, CONGRATULATIONS! You are both ACE so here is an Acer to celebrate.
