…because I had already gone to bed after spending 15 hours working on my dissertation with only a short break to take JD to the vet and I suddenly realised I hadn’t shot a pic. Stubbornness and sheer bloody-mindedness made me get back out of bed, grab wildly at something...anything... and photograph it. Hence the Q-tips or cotton buds or whatever you like to call them. They still remind me of another life! Job done.

I suspect my parents deeply regret charging down here to see me for a couple of days (because this is the only window of opportunity in my PGCE year) and then having to entertain themselves while my head is stuck inside my laptop.

Note that the 10.15pm on the exif is, in fact, 11.15 because my clock changer has neglected his duty! (Sorry for ratting you out DM!)
