I have discovered my inner child. I’m experimenting with paint techniques that I have not experienced for more than forty years. This is today’s output, knocked up in about half an hour over lunch.
Honestly? I DO realise this isn’t Monet but I also suspect that with a bit of applied effort, some half-good materials and some quality time, I will probably be able to do this sort of thing to a half-decent standard, whether or not I ever get close to Monet! There is something gnawing away inside me that says my creative side has been locked in a box for way too long and it’s time I let it out to play.
One day, probably about a week before I die, I’ll find myself with some time to spare and a yearning to paint…well, it comes to us all sooner or later, doesn’t it?
