OK OK – I must confess to not having the faintest idea where the title came from except that it was from my childhood. I have a vague memory it’s an old Radio 2 thing.

So Spingo – tried it once and got very messy!

Doom Bar – very nice beer, no doubt about it BUT it’s now made by “the fat man” and not by a little local brewery any more.

Otter – “proper” local (albeit Devon) beer.

I’ll have a pint of Otter please. Only problem was that the Otter ran out after the first one so the rest was Doom Bar – can’t risk messy tonight – it’s a school night.

Please note sunshine....still bloody cold though!
