OK – I didn’t intend a photo of Lola today. After all, it’s only 48 hours since her last appearance on these pages. In fact, I’d been on my knees in the mud trying to photograph emerging tadpoles and failing miserably. I think I need a UV filter. (Or maybe a polarising one?) I’ll have to ask DM. Anyway, I looked round and saw my pretty girl sitting patiently a few feet away studying me intently. I have no idea what was in her head but she seemed to find me fascinating!
The sun was in exactly the right place because on her other side, she’d have ended up with overblown highlights on the white side of her face. So, I changed my plan and took this shot. When I looked at my photos, there was no contest. Should I post a beautiful “puppy” or a murky pond? Nope, I don’t think there was anything in it at all.
Of course she’s not a puppy at all. She’ll be three in July. How quickly time flies. No matter what though, she’ll always be my puppy, my little girl and my baby. My Mum and Dad always say that no matter how old I get I am still their little girl. I know how they feel.
