Here is the kitchen, finished…….well, not quite finished. Still got under-wall-cabinet lights to do, filling of corners in cornices, steps and larders but it’s near enough to be finished to consider it done.
You’ll notice white-out in the windows – that’s not white-out because of sunshine, it’s white-out because once again, we’re in the clouds!
We’ve gone from this to this. Mind you, the shot of the old kitchen was taken from the window so it’s the opposite view of things.
I have this terrible (well, in my manic view anyway) habit of getting to this stage then abandoning the project for something else more urgent. Our bathroom is a case-in-point (still no mirror), as is the dining room (still no skirting boards or door). In fact, there are no pictures on the wall anywhere because I consider that a finishing touch and it means thinking about appropriate images etc. I’m just relieved to get as far as getting the walls painted, free from mould and coated in plaster.
For anyone thinking I’ve finally totally flipped by posting a pic at 5.30am, it’s because I’m killing time while I’m waiting for Archie to reappear in the house after he got up an hour ago and went outside, not to be seen again (at least until now).
