You may think you can see the randomness of nature in this shot – one dead flower fertilised by a bee (while alive of course), pregnant with certainly hundreds and maybe thousands of babies and its immediate neighbour, withered and dead, no babies, no future.
The truth is that I engineered this by bringing the bluebells in from the garden when they first started to flower so the only flower on the stem that had some outdoor time is the one that’s fat with seed.
I’d just like to say that while I did this “genetic engineering” I do NOT support this practice in farming. No No No, emphatically, absolutely, wholeheartedly NO to that.
OK – once again you get “treated” to a grab shot, although at least this one is a studio one, properly lit and framed. I’m sorry. I’m working like a dog at the moment and when I’m not working like a dog I’m getting it in the neck from DM, neighbours and friends about “overdoing it”.
I’m overdoing it so much that I’ve not even got around to chucking the dead flowers in pots all around the house into the compost bin. I suppose that this is, at least, an excuse for a shot of a dead flower. I'm overdoing it so much I didn't even notice that I'd shot this on iso 1600 - I NEVER use iso 1600 unless completely forced into it by circumstance so this is, indeed, a good example of my frame of mind.
Today I’ve been at my day job and I’m going to be there again tomorrow so my juices are not flowing terribly well. I’m infertile. Barren of ideas and devoid of thought…….I’m sure I’ll perk up again soon though!
