072 PLOUGHED GROUND

BEAVER HARBOUR, CHARLOTTE COUNTY, NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA

A portion of field that has been ploughed and harrowed in search of grubs that mature just under the sod.
The prey is a fat grub, one of the type that is commonly called a Cut Worm. I believe this species is
June Bug. While Raccoons, Crows and Ravens have also been seen foraging, nearly all of the
ground damage was executed by a Skunk. These grubs seem to be one of their favoured summer foods.
