The Harmattan is the dry season in West Africa, occurring from late-Nov. to late-Feb.
It is characterized by the dry and dusty northeasterly trade wind, of the same name.
This wind blows from the Sahara Desert over West Africa into the Gulf of Guinea.
The name is related to the word haramata in the Twi language.
The temperature is typically cooler than average.
The sunsets are often interesting or different, or not at all.
