A windy day is not a good day for thatching.
Hurlers Pub - being re-thatched.
This Gaelic proverb has similarities in many cultures.
It is similar to an Italian proverb. Chi piscia contra il vento si bagna la commiscia.
In other words, go with the flow or don't spit into the wind.
An older English equivalent proverb is:
"A reed before the wind lives on, but the mighty oak falls."
An older and more general version of this proverb appears in the Bible, Ecclesiastes, 3:1,
There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens,
A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant
