Gandelow Racing: Gandelow Boats came to race on River Shannon for the first time in 65 years this weekend. Limerick families had the chance to see traditional Gandelow boats racing on the River Shannon for the first time in 65 years on Saturday, May 19th. The ILEN Wooden Boat Building School, in collaboration with local river folk and community groups, came together to build a new fleet of five boats and stage an important cultural and educational river event in Limerick.
