Preikestolen fra sjoen (Pulpit Rock view from the fjord)
Preikestolen, also known by the English translation Pulpit Rock, is a massive cliff 600m above the fjord. The top of the cliff is approximately 25x25 meters square and almost flat and is a famous tourist attaraction in Norway. The rock formation was formed during the last ice age approx 10,000 years ago. The edge of the glacier was then just above the mountain.
