Excellent image and a great seed source of the American Goldfinch and other birds.
I love thistle for this reason.
It is considered a very invasive plant in many parts of the United States.

Sweet lovely thistle, such an amazingly gentle looking flower, but then if you get too close and try to pick it, watch out..Sharp points can hurt. The lavender pink color is beautiful, bathed in a soft light that enhances every part of its bloom. V
