Garvan Woodland Gardens is a 210-acre botanical garden located near Hot Springs National Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It is owned by the University of Arkansas and situated on a woodland peninsula with 4.5 miles of shoreline on Lake Hamilton. The Gardens feature rocky inclines reminiscent of the surrounding Ouachita Mountains, floral landscapes, streams, and waterfalls in a natural woodland setting, plus a Japanese Garden. Its collections display hundreds of rare shrubs, trees, and flowers. At Christmas time, over 1.8 million holiday lights illuminate Garvan Woodland Gardens transforming the woodland landscape into a winter wonderland of splendor.
