These are eyes that have connected with mine daily for over 25 years -- like those of an old friend and advisor. These are the eyes of a friend, caputured by my grandfather in 1935. These are the eyes of George Hays, now an old friend of mine, though I was not born till 1960, and had not been in his field of vision before 1983. While George's eyes sought and captured landscapes, my grandfather's sought and captured people.
