Since 1914

Camden Harbor, Maine

Built by Fife and Sons in Scotland in 1914, "Sumurun," a 94 foot yacht, is now sitting in Camden Harbor, Maine. She is the subject of a juicy law suit that asks, among other things, that she be sold to satisfy the damages incurred in a nasty collision last summer with two NY30s, one of which, "Amorita," a 103-year-old yacht, was run over and sank! When court documents say "Owner Robert Towbin acted in an arrogant, malicious, outrageous and extreme manner," one can only begin to imagine what is said out of the courtroom!

She is a beauty... This image was taken in response to the Thursday Totally Informal Transglobal Challenge. The theme for Thursday, April 24, 2008, is "Decadence". For other participants images see: http://form.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=37241

Just think of the cost of upkeep to keep it looking this way. This is a good example ofthe saying that a boat is just a hole to throw money into. BUT an excellent image.

Great photo. If someone can afford to own this they can also afford the insurance to pay for their mistakes.

Beautiful boat. What a story, decadence for sure, when someone shows such rudness to others.
