I am impressed with your research project to uncover your grandfathers portfolio and history. I found you because I am doing research on my home which was built by Wm. T. Peck and, voila!, I found your grandfathers portrait of him via your site. Like your grandfarher's other portraits this one is beautifully crafted in great detail.
I was hoping to ask you for permission to use the photo for my personal use as I document my home and it's habitants' history? I'd like to print a copy and frame the portrait if you'd allow and send me digital image of this portrait. In addition, is there any info you could impart about the photo, your grandfather's relation to Mr. Peck and anything about Mr. Peck's?
I knew that he was principal of Classical, which incidentally is my alma mater, but I have found conflicting info that he was founder of Classical which couldn't be true bc its founding was during his youth. However, I found that Classical may have been a dept of Providence High and later became a standalone institution. Thus it could be that he was principal while it was a dept and guided it to become a standalone school. I have yet to solidify this latter possibility.
Lastly, Is this portrait on display somewhere where I can see it?
