Lufa, from behind

Yuma, AZ

I'm alive, in case anyone is wondering. After several years of not working
the reality of economics came crashing down and I had to get a job. Adjusting
to working is going to take a toll on photography but the cooler winter
weather should help get me back out there on my days off so that balances :)
This Lufa bloom is from my backyard.. such a funny little flower that only
lives one day.

Love the textures.

yes, the flowers only last one day, so the buds you see here will be the flowers that will open the next day and beyond that. the last vine is dying now but I have several luffa and will post a photo of them before I cut them off the vine. thanks for comments :)

I missed this before - what a sharp image I can feel the texture. are those buds on the back of the flower that open into other flowers??
