every year the boy scouts put up many flags on the hill near where I live..
every year I go, and spend a quiet moment.. and take a photo to say yes, I
remember. This year as I pulled up the image in photoshop, out of the mouths
of babes, my 13 year old suggests I do it with a more dull, sad, less colorful
treatment than I normally would. She says it would mean more and have more
impact for her if it was dull and not so colorful. We talked about how honoring
with the flags was a proud thing and she agreed but still liked it more muted. So it is.
